What We Do

Building Bridges Between Hearts and Homes

Nasarp Foundation connects children across Africa with loving, permanent families abroad, while strengthening the communities and birth families who need support the most. Every program we run is guided by one principle, every child deserves a safe, loving, and permanent home.

Two Pillars, One Purpose

Nasarp Foundation exists to protect children and strengthen families, both before and after adoption ever becomes part of the story. We work on two fronts at once. Through our We Build Bridges program, we carefully and ethically connect children who need permanent homes with qualified, prepared families abroad. Through our community programs, we support birth families, caregivers, and local communities across Africa so that children can remain safely within their own families and communities whenever that is possible. Adoption, when it happens, is always a last resort, and always centered on the best interest of the child.

We Build Bridges

We Build Bridges, Connecting Children With Loving Families Abroad

Every child deserves a permanent, loving home. When a child in our care cannot safely remain with their birth family or community, even after every avenue of family preservation has been explored, We Build Bridges works to find them a permanent family abroad through a careful, transparent, and fully legal adoption process. We walk alongside adoptive families from their very first inquiry through post placement support, ensuring every placement is guided by the child’s wellbeing above all else.

Our Approach

We believe ethical adoption begins with putting the child first. Every child referred for intercountry adoption through Nasarp Foundation has been assessed by qualified social workers, and every prospective adoptive family completes a thorough home study, background screening, and preparation process before any match is considered. We work within the applicable adoption laws of both the child’s country of origin and the receiving country, and we partner with licensed agencies, legal counsel, and government authorities at every stage to protect the rights of the child and the integrity of the process.

Who We Serve

Our program serves two groups with equal care. We serve children who genuinely need a permanent family after family preservation and local placement options have been fully explored, and we serve prospective adoptive families abroad who are ready, prepared, and approved to welcome a child into their home for life. Every family we work with receives guidance, education, and support long before a match is ever proposed.

A Careful, Transparent Path From Inquiry to Family

Every family we work with follows the same clear, four step path. Each stage is designed to protect the child, prepare the family, and keep the process fully transparent from the first conversation onward.

01

Inquiry and Orientation

Prospective families begin with an initial inquiry and an orientation session covering eligibility requirements, timelines, and what ethical intercountry adoption involves.

02

Application and Home Study

Families complete a formal application and a comprehensive home study conducted by a licensed social worker, covering readiness, support systems, and preparation for cross cultural adoption.

03

Matching and Legal Process

Once approved, families are carefully matched with a child whose needs align with their preparation. All legal, immigration, and documentation requirements are completed in full compliance with the laws of both countries.

04

Placement and Lifelong Support

Following placement, our team provides post adoption support, including transition guidance, cultural connection resources, and ongoing check ins to support the child and family long after the process is complete.

Programs That Keep Families Together

Adoption is never our first goal. Before any child is considered for intercountry placement, we invest in programs that help families and communities stay together and thrive. These programs address the root causes that put children at risk of separation from their families in the first place.

Family Preservation Support
We provide resources, counseling, and practical support to help vulnerable families stay together, including support for parents facing poverty, illness, or crisis.
Education and Youth Empowerment
We invest in schooling, mentorship, and skills training so children and young people have the opportunity to build stable, independent futures within their own communities.
Community Welfare Projects
From clean water access to local health initiatives, our community projects address the everyday needs that strengthen entire neighborhoods, not just individual families.
Foster and Kinship Care Support
Where a child cannot remain with their immediate family, we prioritize placement with relatives or foster families within their own community before intercountry adoption is ever considered.

What Families Ask Us Most

A few of the questions prospective families ask us most often. If your question is not answered here, our team is always glad to talk it through with you.

Yes. Every placement follows the applicable adoption laws of the child’s country of origin and the receiving country, and every child referred for adoption has gone through a full family preservation assessment first.

Eligibility depends on the requirements of both countries involved. Our team reviews each prospective family’s situation individually during the orientation and application stage and provides clear guidance from the very first inquiry.

Timelines vary based on individual circumstances, country requirements, and the home study and legal process. Our team provides a realistic, honest timeline during your orientation session rather than a general estimate.

Our support does not end at placement. Families receive transition guidance, access to cultural connection resources, and ongoing check ins to support both the child and the family long term.
